Well, if the "meta" glasses have facial recognition then I don't really think it matters if airports and police departments are. They will just pay meta for the data or force them to turn it over in courts. Its a wet dream for the police state.

It is only optional if you opt-out before handing them your papers.

Say good morning and wait for eye contact. Then say "I'd like to opt out of biometrics." Wait for acknowledgement. Then hand them your ID.
