Just on the plane now with my kids. Here's how TSA check point went:

Agent to kid #1- look at the camera Dad to kid#1 - you can opt out of that if you like kid #1 to agent: i'd like to opt out...

Dad to agent: kid #2 is a minor and I am opting out of biometrics...

Dad to agent: I'd like to opt out of biometrics. Agent to dad: I cannot identify you from your driver license...

The DL is less than a year old.

Happened today just now. I'm on the plane now. All good, but they are turning up the heat.

I got scanned in Europe. Actually three times. I didn't realize I could opt out. I mean what's the fucking point of having a passport if they're just going to scan your face.

Canada wanted to scan me. I talked to the airport attendant at the kiosk and told her I did not want to do a face scan and she sent me right to the immigration officer who was totally cool with my choice.

Try it! It's usually not an issue at all for me except today.

More people need to decline. This is stupid. I'm sure in the near future we won't have the option to decline. The lady tried to tell me it isn't stored and its deleted right after. Why take it then? Of course it's going to some database for facial recognition.

If that were true then how would the tech work at all? Are they lying and saying it scans your id first? What bullshit. We know nothing is deleted.
