Nice cop-out, but the technicalities of compromised Tor nodes are far above the level of this conversation.

Do you think Tor increases your privacy online, or doesn't increase your privacy online? Your favorite liar has no problem stating these two contradictory positions simultaneously.

I think it has the potential to do both, it’s the nature of the technology if the exit nodes are run by nefarious interests then it’ll be bad for your privacy but if it’s a legit node run by a person then absolutely it increases your privacy. That’s just the reality of it, no opinion needed. Personally I use it when it’s useful but I don’t run tor all the time. Why is stating reality a cop out?

Well, you've gone from a cop-out to speaking nonsense. It cannot both do nothing and increase your privacy online - they are mutually exclusive. If it increases your privacy some of the time, it increases your privacy, because that's better than increasing your privacy none of the time.

A compromised exit node is still better than handing out your IP address to essentially everyone on a naked browser, and obviously not all the nodes are compromised. Tor also has inbuilt script-blocking and features to reduce browser fingerprinting.

Again. Overall does Tor increase your privacy, or not?

I suppose when you put it that way, it does increase your privacy. I'll concede the point.
