I've seen a few articles about this and they've all declined to mention that contributions are based on each countries GNP with adjustments for per capita income and external debt. I'm not arguing it's right we're paying so much, but I think it's disingenuous not to include this info.
Agreed. There will be bias in any article. The trick is to be aware of it, as it seems you are.
I question everything and use articles that interest me as an opportunity to do research. I went down a rabbit hole on UN funding a couple of years back.
This was one of my main complaints on Voat, people taking screenshots as gospel because they fit their worldview, even when certain people (cough, tendiesonfloor, cough) would highly editorialize titles to twist their screenshots to make it seem like the article in question said one thing, when in reality there was much more depth and nuance. Twisting clickbait titles to push a false narrative.
