Many other States allow felons to vote after completing all terms of their sentence. That's definitely the case in Georgia.

Hell, Michigan restores most felons' firearm rights automatically three to five years after completing their sentence.

Do your time, pay your fines, and you should get all your rights back.

I suppose I would not be against it in all cases, mainly because of some offenses the government considers a felony. But there would have to be a vetting process that goes beyond serving your time.

I agree that there are way too many felonies on the books.

The average person simply can't know every law that they might violate.
