But if the democrats win in 2020 it will mean that major billion dollar corporations used AI to influence the perceptions of people to produce a political outcome they were looking for. And that is way scarier than any theorized Russian meddling.

Some leftists see these big tech companies as enemies, but others see partners. The Democratic Party can talk an anti-corporate game, but they still get plenty of money from big corporations. This would still be a win for technocratic leftists.
