For anyone that doesn't know because the story only said a Merkle friend, this man was promigration and told the natural borns to leave. Glad he's dead then, he's a fucking traitor to his country and deserves it.
Well... It's either of of two things:
1) Right wing death squads are finally on the loose.
2) The useful idiot knew too much and had outlived his purpose.
I wish it's number 1 but I think it's most likely 2.

From what little I've read, he wasn't particularly well liked among ANY of the political parties, whether they were left, right, or "centrist". I don't imagine the list of suspects will be particularly short. However, something to remember. "Germany" literally means land of the spear men. The fierceness of the name is the reason they've never sought to force Deutschland on foreigners.
