Generally speaking there are many accounts that are run by bots. They steal other content and then play it along side a video of someone's face as a "reaction video" because that makes it "transformative" and puts it under fair use license.

This poped up on my "for you" page which is just content that get's pushed out by the algorythm. I downloaded this because I don't care to find the original producer.

It doesn't have to be magic to be real. People are really mutilating themselves and that practice is called conversion.
