If he loses a battle, it’s a loss for everyone, whether anyone “likes” him or not. I think Alex Jones is an idiot in a lot of ways. But I also realize that if they can shut him up, it means they can shut me up. The situations with people like Peterson and even AJ are linchpin battles. They are battles that matter because they set precedents that can mean good or bad for the future. The same can be said of the Rittenhouse verdict and for the exact same reason. If that kid was found guilty, the implications for the rest of us would have been fucking terrible. Frankly, it is terrible that it even went to trial and that alone has terrible implications. But it would have been that much worse had they convicted him. Larger point: none of these battles has a fucking thing to do with how you or I personally “feel” about any of the involved parties. People don’t have to agree with you on everything to be valuable or effective. Peterson, for whatever warts he might have, is more valuable to the cause of freedom than anyone around here.
