An easier way to prevent remote disable commands is a jammer made from a paperclip placed next to the receiver's antenna. You could also enclose the receiving antenna in aluminum foil to make a Faraday cage.

If jamming the remote connection to big brother feels like freedom to you, sure thing bro. I prefer cars that doesn't have that capability to begin with. Sadly there aren't many (none?) decent EVs that was built like that.

In a way it's better because they're deceived into thinking they have control. You have one of their devices, after all. You're more able to operate under the radar, so to speak.

You think they aren't aware how long the car has been disconnected? I've worked in connected automotive, they know that very well.

So rather than flying under the radar, you will stand out in the system. When (not if) the government gets that data, of course your license plate will be of interest.
