If we were really headed towards everybody having an EV, I wouldn't see a new gas station popping up on every corner around me lately. Clearly the people that own these gas stations Understand that gas cars aren't going away anytime soon. And why aren't gas stations installing EV chargers? I would want EV cars to come to my store also and buy my overpriced drinks and snacks

Usually because they can't. I work in construction and when companies and agencies are trying to install EV chargers they almost always run into the issues of the power company not being able to supply them with the power they need. Just having 10 fast chargers requires 10,000A service at 480V.

Yeah I'm electrician. I know all about those issues. You are right They know it can't happen which is exactly why it isn't happening.

Yeah, even if the power company has 30kV available near the property it will take 150A just to supply those chargers.
