They are also taught that men with traditional values are undesirable.
The longer they spend in school, the more indoctrinated they become and the more likely they are to run in social circles with other indoctrinated people, especially post grad programs.

1919 is the year in which germany introduced four years of mandatory primary school, after having increased the state-funded schools since about 1910. And immediately it causes such an huge drop in birthrates. You'll also notice, that the birth-rate remained low in 1933-1945, even when the Nazis were in power, and pretty much told every german girl that her highest duty and honor as a woman is to be a mother that gives birth to many german children. And the drop in 1970 - which is much smaller than the drop in 1920 - possibly had something to do with the invention of birthcontrol pills, but I wouldn't wonder if they also had some school-reform in about that time, where they increased the mandatory years of public-school attendance from something like 6 to something like 10. I believe I've heard such a thing.
