This argument against affirmative action makes sense. IMO, affirmative action is honestly dumb because in the world we live in and with the population we have throughout it, it's realistically impossible to try to achieve a certain quota or percentage of students or employees with a specific identity.

In other words, you'll realize that affirmative action is basically replacing one form of discrimination with another if you think about it for more than five seconds. And in today's day and age, anyone would hate to hear that they only got admitted or hired not because of their skills or academic achievements but because of their skin color, gender, disability, etc, etc.

I have to agree, at the end of the day no one wants to know they got something because of anything other than their ability to get it. I once saw a Jesse Peterson interview with a lady that said she was a "Child of affirmative action" and even she had to admit it was uncomfortable with the fact that she got something purely because of her skin color.
