We see exactly the same dynamic from the "woke" liberals. Control of language. Those in the circle, and those outside it, who are "fair game" to be harassed and abused.
He who controls the language of debate wins the debate. This is the purpose of PC. It's to narrowly control acceptable language and redefine words to suit their agenda. PC is literally mind control.
