If you can't audit every step of the results then it isn't a valid election. If an election is made unauditable then it is because it is corrupted.

This is the starting point, and the officials need to prove that their election was auditable if they want the people to count it as valid. This is so easy to do in 2022, that there is only one reason it is not done.

Ballots appeared out of nowhere. No one knows where they came from. They were counted anyway.
