The only issue with this is who decides who has abused their governmental powers? The government.
In my opinion, the best way to get rid of corruption is to reduce the governments power. The reason it's so corrupt is because the government (particularly, the federal government) is so damn powerful so it's a target for ANY group with means and interest in attaining such power.
No more pensions for politicians either. If you're a political representative, you get shit pay. That's how it should be.
instead, politicians make bank and get paraded around as celebrities. Being a public servant should be just that, servanthood. It should be a really shitty job with no glitz or glamour at all.
I agree with that. It's one of the criticisms I have for people who blame jews as the only criticisms they have to offer ever. With something like the Fed around some organized group capable of organizing their interests is going to take control of it. If it weren't the jews it would be someone else. You can't concentrate power without expecting some corrupt body taking it over, at least especially when in many cases there is little to no punishment.
Because if you are going to have a government of some form there is going to be some concentration of power. So you need a significant form of punishment for its misuse or whatever amount does exist will be corrupt.
