I've been thinking about this on and off all day, and honestly my hope is this is a calculated move to expose the clintons or something like that, odds are it isn't but thats my hope. If it is what it looks like then holy shit Trump just lost the 2020 election and this fight is going to be a far bigger one than I thought.
I'm so divided on the up coming election. I can't reward what trump does lately, but on the other hand I can't elect actual communists. Frankly the communists issue is a bigger one because the country is at stake, and frankly the entire concept of modern freedom with it.
I'm hoping that the long investigation of trump was a ploy by the deep state to protect their jobs so that people couldn't be indicted as long as they were in charge, and trump couldn't fire them as long as the investigation was going because that might be "obstruction of justice." Now that's over maybe some shit will go down and we will have reason to be proud.
Of course it was basically Muller responsible for the arrest based on some Manifort details allegedly. So maybe the wikileaks thing is because they are out of cards and they think this will keep it going. And Trumps comments are just Trump being Trump in that he's an oblivious self serving cunt and he has nothing to do with the arrest.
I don't know anymore, I see so many arguments both ways I tend to just sit back and watch and see what happens. I really really hope they pardon or something Julian Assange it needs to be done. I don't care about really much else like I said it shouldn't be a crime to tell people government is breaking the law.
I hope trump is playing some kind of negotiating deal here with the whole thing, but who knows.
I am curious why you think he is a self serving cunt though? As far as I can tell that isn't the case but I'm for sure open to having my mind changed.
So the current charge (and likely won't be the oly one) is tied to the bradley manning stuff. The problem is the material doesn't fit the meme that either side is trying to present. The Neocons are claiming the he put people in jeopardy. I've sifted enough through the Iraq War Diaries to know that isn't the case. It was just boring reports on incidents in Iraq. Basically it was just a giant tally of enemy, friendly, and civilian casualties, with a small one-two paragraph report tied to each data point.
So it didn't endanger anyone and that particular project of wikileaks wasn't uncovering anything illegal. It was just really boring raw Intel.
The sadest thing was the most common report I read basically was
This or that unit was stationed in a market. Al queda associated forces threw a grenade at the humve. They fled resulting in no prolonged combat. The grenade did not kill any personnel. It did kill several civilians outside the humve in the market.
Green Red Blue
0 0 5 Wounded
0 0 3 Dead
It was a mysql database so I was reading them at random with SELECT * FROM reports ORDER BY RANDOM() LIMIT 1; And I just kept reading that report over and over. Sometimes that report would exist with an rpg instead and the civilian deaths would be higher.
Useful stuff for the public to see but nothing endangering and nothing illegal being reported.
