Saw someone talking about this the other day. The opinion was that we should be taxing these remittances. Currently they aren't and a very high percentage of this money is likely earned under the table and completely untaxed. That sounds like a good idea to me.

I had to look up remittance. Apparently, gifts are included, would donations be gifts? Either way, Israel still wouldn't appear, because they're just transferring money between their own accounts, not sending it to someone else.
