I lived in Florida a good chunk of my life. It kind of sucks. It's not just hot, it's muggy enough to swim through the air. It's flat as hell, overpopulated and has a lot of obnoxious people. South Florida is filled the brim with jews. The firearms laws in FL are decidedly less based than other southern states.
I see you never were at the coastal Panhandle, it's great here. The gun laws are just fine.

The flat also bothers us. If we could go to the beach often enough it wouldn’t be bad. Palm trees are pretty too. But we prefer mountains.
I'm partial to the Appalachians myself. Had a beachside condo on Sunny Isles Beach at one point, but only went down there three or four times in two years. Nice view though.
