Most of this thread is people pointing out that OP's title is bullshit, so I'll comment on the article itself.
I think it's weird how so many regular citizens are threatened by politicians and other citizens and absolutely nothing happens. Political elites get threatened and it's the full force of the law at their doorstep. Anyone else getting tired of rules for thee and not for me?

The threats weren't specified. I was of the understanding that threats had to be very specific in order to be prosecuted.
Have you found any examples of threats that were successfully prosecuted?
