They are simply common sense and langdons knowledge that he is perceived as the smartest man gives him the confidence after weighing the consequences to openly say what is obvious. Mankind is under threat because of the effort to destroy its highest scientific culture..the European white man. So Langdon certainly is smart but the need for white identity movement..better called white preservation...is obvious to anyone and its only a decision about pros and cons of admitting it and paying the social cost which is differentiating. Langdons intelligence is likely differentiating in this instance only in that he has more clearly recognized the threat to all mankind posed by the destruction of white European man and thus makes the choice to discuss it and perhaps pay the price.
