This is wrong. They go into science beccuase they have to. If they don't solve the problems in their heads they go mad. Like a person with too much adrenaline who must run. Later as they get older they realize they can solve those problems in informal setting and they may pursue other means of making a living while continuing their pursuits as I imagine Langdon realized early on.

Never mistake how someone makes a living for what they do in their head.

I imagine Langdon liked being a bouncer because it is a great social life and gets you close to women and men you wouldn't otherwise meet and study and interact with. It also is a job where you are quieted by the night time and can deal with problems linearly ...literally one at a time...which very smart people tend to like.

What is perceived as smart choices by Langdon regarding white identity really of course aren't smart. They are simply common sense and langdons knowledge that he is perceived as the smartest man gives him the confidence after weighing the consequences to openly say what is obvious. Mankind is under threat because of the effort to destroy its highest scientific culture..the European white man.

So Langdon certainly is smart but the need for white identity movement..better called white preservation...is obvious to anyone and its only a decision about pros and cons of admitting it and paying the social cost which is differentiating.

Langdons intelligence is likely differentiating in this instance only in that he has more clearly recognized the threat to all mankind posed by the destruction of white European man and thus makes the choice to discuss it and perhaps pay the price.

I like the fact that Jews like spike Jonz are forced to recognize there isn't a smarter Jew than this man. And the myth of Einstein being smart falls apart pretty quick when you learn he stole most of his work and his wife did the math. But its useful for the Jews to have him be thought of as the worlds smartest man because naturally then people project that on to Jews in general and give Jews more power "because they probably know what they are doing better than we do. After all Einstein was a Jew and Jews are all smart".

I think many smart people eventually realize life is short and stop spending their time trying to save humanity which on average is not necessarily worth saving and are savages.

Those people then become hedonists or drunkards.

I am waiting for elon musk to cross that threshold but hopefully he will finish the interplanetary rockets first.

Of course with his society of smart people Langdon is talking about recreating the original freemasons idea. The masons were the smart engineers fighting the corrupt all powerful church.
