the gas companies did exactly this. they regulated more expensive environmental policies for gas stations. knowing that doing so will kill all small gas stations leaving them with no competition
Which is why we should of protected our right to live in a capitalistic society rather than a fascist one.
Regulations licenses qualifications and intellectual property rights are all anti free market capitalism.
Capitalism is the absence of any systems. The absence of state interference. Where individual people own the means of production.
As soon as the state has the power to dictate and tax economic activity they become the nominal owners of the means of production or in the case of communism outright owners
So did the banks, payment processors, tech companies, hospitals, mining companies, fishing companies, telecom companies...
