Holy fuck. So, the problem with existing language for people in different groups is it doesn't first affirm their status as people; we tend to put the group first.
At first I thought this was purely about being woke, but this logic would extend to literally every conceivable group. No longer are we IT people, we're people who work in IT. We're no longer healthcare professionals, we're people who work in healthcare. They specifically call out smokers(I mean people who smoke), and STAKEHOLDERS. Stakeholders. Because we assume they're not people? Fucking insane. It's not about being woke, it's about changing our language.
It is ironic they don't list any new terms for politicians.
Control the language , control the population
It's almost like we have short terms to refer to those groups because it's more efficient than a whole fucking sentence.
