The genetic parents by default have the right to bring their children up as they choose. The only objection I would have is domestic or sexual abuse of the child.
Florida law didn't care for the rights of parents until this was passed this year and signed into law
It always makes me antsy when politicians speak about rights for families as I think the government shouldn't be intervening in families.
Some folks in Florida State/Local Government have had their Ph.D in messing with the parental rights of families. Erin Grall passed this to start putting an end to this garbage. HB 241 is going to be preventing masking mandates in schools this coming school year
I am one of those that says masks are useless but I hate when politicians think the solution is to make another bill to fix the problem.
They should be they say
There will be no government action against anyone who chooses to wear a mask. Children are entitled to their education and the schools will not pressure them to make decide one way or another. If the teachers don't like this then they can fuck off.
