Liberals like to play gotcha games with this. Posit legal migration is your position (strict checks and balances, need a job lined up, need proof of money in bank account, go through the process etc.) Then when they make illegals legal at the snap of a finger you're in their "gotcha". They're now "legal migrants" since the priori is "legal status" you have to let them stay and can't say no to letting in as many as Democrats want.
