Elections Canada does not use Dominion Voting Systems. We use paper ballots counted by hand in front of scrutineers and have never used voting machines or electronic tabulators to count votes in our 100-year history.
It looks like Ontario, the most populous province in the country has been using voting machines since 2018.

The way around that is to build the ballot in secret and release it about a week before the actual election with printers on 24/7 standby for reprints and destruction for mistakes. Since elections are local handled in the US reprinting ballots for a given district should not take more than a few hours. Granted there some districts that are 1+ million such as Montana but no one will fuck up the name of a person running for House Rep or Senator. A local city rep might not be on the ballot or the name is fucked up so that should be fixable in a few hours.
