No pretense at all. Ann tends to get all shrill and excitable (as most women are known to do) about every little thing. The Washington Post is a well-known commie propaganda factory. In the end, neither source can be trusted totally, but that still leaves the question unanswered. Is it all over? Is the wall history? Did the Democrats win again? Did Trump buckle? In short, how much of what Coulter said is accurate, and how much is hysterics?
