Reddit fucking sucks. So does Twitter. They both have moderators guilty of censoring the hell out of everyone and banning them to make sure they don't revolt. You don't even get a ban reason, now Reddit just lets mods mute you, and some of the mods do it before you even get a chance to respond. (external-preview.redd.it)

But if I'm against these sites, and I'm against censorship, why don't I go to the ones that promote free speech, like Gab?

Excerpt from Gab's "Explore" page. (bayimg.com)

I go to the front page of this site and see one post that isn't related to politics. Yeah, it does it's job alright: nothing gets censored. The problem is that the prime target for these sites becomes people who got banned for being alt-right, which isn't too big of a problem, except even /s/Funny is full of memes specific to politics. Twitter and Reddit are shit but they have diverse content for people like me who don't indulge 24/7 in politics. <- That said, I'm aware that there are people that engage this much in politics; not really my cup of tea, but sure, if that's what you want to do then you do you.

You can feel free to call me a leftist, a liberal, a libtard, etc. To be honest I'm sort of in the middle of the spectrum but I'm well aware that's not really relevant to the post; but it doesn't exactly matter because at the end of the day this is just some fucking retard throwing his two cents on to the platform. But if you wonder why I don't opt for these sites, that's why: It's simply not my cup of tea.

That said, there's one more thing I have to bring against this site. I would mention something about every left-leaning post getting downvoted, but I can't confirm this because there's no controversial setting like Reddit to view the most downvoted posts (also no way to sort by "all time" though so I suppose that doesn't really matter). This is something the Trump subreddit does, and they aren't exactly free from censorship-heavy mods either. (bayimg.com)

Sayonara, some dumbass throwaway account.

Which left-leaning posts got downvoted? We don't culturally utilize that as a substitute for discussion/argument (DVs are public record); and points mean jack shit here.

Post on subjects you'd like to see; I suspect you'll be surprised at the attention and votes they garner.

Great nipples, welcome to poal.

Edit: I mean, I guess I get your point - no fun hanging around with people who don't largely share your views. I don't go to raddle.me or reddit, because not only will there be astounding amounts of what I consider garbage content, but those leftist places also flat-out censor and deplatform by moderator and user action. That is the difference between there and here. That is the direction the SJW/leftist/purity-spiral crowd have taken, and you have to decide which platform(s) to use - the one where you get a voice no matter what, or the one where one false utterance means your ban.

So are you saying we're not allowed to engage or talk about politics even if it's just once in a while? Roughly half of the stuff I post isn't political content. Also, politics is everywhere on the internet lol, you can't really avoid it unless you engage in censorship.

would you gas me if the sun was out or the gun was out?

Just this one. And I'll probably delete it as it brings up unpleasant memories.

It's like you spent like 10 min here and made some whinny post about your experience somewhere else.

Hi welcome to poal, Hope to see you around, I’d welcome more left leaning opinions as I believe discussion is the way the best ideas shine through, also you haven’t been around much if you think all we talk is politics you clearly missed the Steve Irwin fisting an alligator thing.

Also I happen to be the owner and co admin with @AOU so when I say welcome. Also the downvote button is not an i disagree button here, downvotes are visible after level 6. The idea was to make people accountable for their downvotes.

The content is what you make it post what your interested in. if It’s left leaning you’ll probably just be ridiculed by a couple of comments but if you’re going to be a bitch about that GTFO

yet I'm fairly certain this userbase is entirely leaning in one way.

You're more than welcome to be the change you want to see.

Reddit, phuks, saidit, voten & raddle are all Leftard controlled, some with a few conservative islands floating in a sea of commie censorship. Poal & voat are Right and Far-Right. 8ch.net is a mix of radical leftists & rightists, depending on which sub you pick.
