True, but you have to buy fertilizer, water, lights, electricity, fans, etc. etc. etc. which are all taxed past the "sales tax".
You're just not getting taxed for seeds except for the first ones you buy.

That's a very minor taxation compared to what they will be taxing retail marijuana at.
My overall point, there will still be a strong 'black market' if they tax retail marijuana too high. People aren't going to pay ridiculous taxes, if they can grow it themselves or buy from johnny's basement greenhouse.

It's not really a minor taxation, it's a shitload it's just we don't directly see the tax being put on the products. But yeah it's definitely going to be cheaper to buy black market or grow yourself.
