We were all there when it started, we all know. Qanon people are a bunch of nice people that started reading stuff on the internet (my self included) and over time most of us peeled away and a whole bunch of nice people that kept on reading were left behind.
At some point in time maybe some psyop people got inolved here or there, but frankly, they did not have to do much. Qanon people that kept on reading kept on reading because we don't have a solid and distributed leadership team to help everyone keep they eye on the ball and people get distracted.

First things first: I am a fool in all sorts of dimensions. The reminder is honestly appreciated, but life teaches me this every day indeed.
Second, I watched the Corbetts doc in full instead of clicking through the whole thing and I have to correct my original opinion from:
1) Q phenomenon is not complicated or interesting enough to make a doc about, it's just a bunch of nice people believeing stuff for too long. We all do it all the time and happens to all kinds of groups, including muslims, christians, political groups ... any group where belief is necessary for cohesion.
I shit on Qanon people for a bit at the end of this election cycle to send a bit of a message, but, I also engaged with them again (I was one of them in the first 4 months of q posts) and they really are just nice people and stopped making rude comments quickly because it sucks to hurt nice people.

2) Corbett is making a doc about the concept of hopium, which is basically the same thing I am talking about in the first point but kind of looking at it as if hopium is more than it is. I don't know, maybe he is right, maybe we are saying the same thing. I just think sometimes Corbett writes more about a topic than is useful and his commentary becomes the focus of the content rather than the idea.
I appreciate your post by the way. Recently I have had a few invitiations to comment or speak in ways that were more public and your comment really put the dot on the i for me on how to handle these kinds of requests. The answer is to acknowledge my foolishness every morning and realize every morning I try to rise above it and every night if fall right back down.
Much like Corbetts doc here, I post a ton of nonsense as I'm trying to figure this out, the only thing that will ever matter is if I can produce tools or ides that others can use to free them selves. So far, I've produced nothing, and frankly Corbett has so, yeah,he deserves to talk and I just need to keep on posting on forums until I have produced something useful.
