This everywhere is all about the welfare state. It's a Ponzi scheme and unsustainable without more people at the bottom of the pyramid to pay for those at the top. Sure, ya have to subsidize the newest lowest tier arrivals, but they breed and have kids who eventually pay into the scheme. It's more about the money than anything else, the folks pushing it only care about the never ending growth of the social welfare state.
