Intersting. I think I might know what happened.
In terms of the image link upload, you have to supply a direct link, one with an image extensions at the end. What you provided was an image page.
Right click (or long press) on the image and select "Copy image link" or similar to get this https://i.imgflip.com/2sek5v.jpg

I'm not getting any 'copy image link' when I do that on the example above. Let me go into AbiWord and try it on another one. Nope! The popup from a right click gives these choices:
open image in new tab
save image as
copy image
copy image address
adguard adblocker
search google image
inspect
"Copy image address" is what you want
Edit: also if you want the best adblocker imo it's
Well it may of worked this time...at least I got farther than before. If so, there should be four on pic8. Let me know if it worked, and I'll do the rest.
Yeah, I had to ditch ublock. Couldn't get it under control. It was blocking ads, blocking me from using 'google shopping' for comparison pricing, and I think other stuff.
