I think what she was getting at though is, as a matter of fact, these sick people exist in society. They haven't been able to seek professional help or find treatment very easily in the past, and that led to these pedophiles being forced to cope with their illness solo and possibly act on their urges and molest and abuse children. They couldn't talk to psychiatrists or doctors because of mandatory reporting laws and the pedophiles would have no where to seek help for those who wanted help, those who recognized that they weren't OK and needed psychiatric/medical treatment. And she was happy that now there are online communities where pedophiles CAN talk about their problems and get the psychiatric/medical attention they need before they decide to act on their urges and hurt children. By no means whatsoever am I advocating for pedophiles! Just the thought of one of those sick fucks being anywhere near my kids or anybody's kids for that matter makes my left eye twitch and my blood boil. But I'd much rather them be able to get help than them not get help and hurt an innocent child/children. That's all I'm saying. I totally agree with you that pedophiles are defective and degenerates, but they're still human. I don't think they chose to be sexually aroused by kids more than we chose to be sexually attracted to mature adult women. We are who we are and we like what we like.
