They blithely ignore the section below that states "This section does not apply to a person under 18 years of age..."

It's been up for around nine months with no correction.

It's linked in the politifact. The way I read it, dangerous weapon does not apply to rifles and shotguns.

It took me a bit to understand what you are saying. The way I read the statue, possession of "dangerous weapons" is prohibited by persons under 18 but there is an explicit exception for rifles or shotguns.
