I think the window for a "gun fight" is gone, or at least on the verge of not being an option, like not at all
These days, you have drones, which have been prefected in the middle east over the last decades btw... Camouflage is obselete essentially, even the cover of tree leaves/forest is useless these days, they see though matter, in a nutshell
And that's just the beginning, now the next step is obvious, it's autonomous killing machines a la terminator stuffs. Maybe not the full blown arnold endoskeleton but you get the idea
The swath of flying smart grenade is as terrifying and a lot cheaper
