This pandemic and the response to it by government has shown that individuals are willing to give up their rights for a health crisis. Or rather it provides a simple excuse for the government to curtail individual rights. Everything from the right to gather, to the ability to run your own business.

So has there been any state or US congressman who has actively pushed for the limitation or even a review of health department/governor/CDC overreach? If anyone has any links or names, I would greatly appreciate it.

If there hasn't, then it really shows what kind of banana republic we live in. All of it is kabuki theater, especially the culture/woke push. To hide/distract. Its modern equivalent of the Moscow trials.

I will pull a snopes and say that this is partially true. However, it doesn't address that the CDC should never have this kind of power in the first place. Desantis suing the CDC; isn't Ted Cruz(or any other politician) writing a bill to state that the CDC cannot enact those rules. That the CDC cannot stop evictions and foreclosures.

In my opinion the suit against the CDC desantis is bringing is kabuki theater. Desantis could write a law in Florida that allows for cruise ships and bypass the CDC. I think cruise ships are a grey area in regards to state vs federal law, but who cares. Now a days, federal law trumps all other law contrary to the 10th amendment.

You are correct. The CDC only issues guidelines. It is the state governors that enacted the lockdowns, mask mandates and quarantines.
