You are incorrect. My parents were married and could (barely) afford two kids with their own incomes. Where the problem happens is if the parents get divorced and the mother has custody and no job skills. Then they end up in real trouble. Yes, my mother was on food stamps, then she got job training and eventually got a job and got remarried. This isn't parasitism. This is using the emergency services for what they were intended for. She only took food stamps for as long as she was underemployed, then she worked two jobs. She was too proud to stay on welfare. But most people never get out of poverty if they were born into it. If you want to say "death to all who disagree" then I invite you to walk a mile in my shoes. But thank you for jumping to entirely wrong conclusions.
