As I am starting to digest what you are saying, agreed on the actual software part, but I also think we can extend the software program to the idea of systems and systems of control.
For example, the UN started out as a germ of an idea (based on league of nations which is based on other ideas) as a control mechanism for international relations. It has now grown into a HUGE fucking control mechanism with its own culture, value systems and internal ecosystem that is self sustaining. It isn't an accident that the WHO listens to communist / totalitarian China rather than the the US / free world.
We can basically start to think of the UN as a kind of AI/software but embedded in the system of the UN that is actually self aware, like a virus, and fighting for resources and fighting for it's own survival.
I appreciate the insight, a lot there to think about.
