This was why I was always against the wall. Nobody talks about the fact that Americans own that private land. I want better immigration control, but a wall is useless without patrols. Why can't we patrol in gucking boats. It's a RIVER.

I would be fine with eminent domain as long as the government is required to pay ten times the proven market price. If it "that important," it should be a lottery win for the land owner.

E: And yes, "proven market rate" is difficult to determine.

In any case, the collective socialism should pay the private owner (individual) ten times the alleged rate to take the private property for the alleged "greater good."

The wall is 6" thick. If you can't give up 6" of your property to build it, there is something wrong. Americans can't own land in Mexico anyway (forbidden by law), so your property boundary is not going over the border anyway. The southern boundary of your property is at the Mexican border, so it's not like you're missing out on a lot.

What's the problem again?

Biden broke the law, he stopped the wall and redirected funds that congress had allotted for the wall. He doesn't have the power to override congress with an executive order. EO,s are for situations that aren't in United States law. I'm thinking it was 1.3 billion that he stopped. look it up and let everyone know what you find. don't take my word on it, I'm stupid.
