The Chamber of Commerce in every city has the Agenda to put puppets in place that help the large businesses & corporations at city and state level. They lobby at all levels. Especially locally and at the state. The Chamber of Commerce is a jew idea to make fruitous profits for useless businesses that steal from the people. They are the ones who help squash free market competition. They also give lots of money to elections for business policy. The Better Business Bureau is affiliated, so you think that the CoC has the small businesses in mind with thier ratings system. Couldn't be farther from the truth. You can BUY and A+ rating without having done any business at all, (see shell companies).
It's all a policy scam for business.

if i went to my local chamber of commerce during these meetings(i assume) what pointers would you offer me to get the best absorbion of what is going on?
What businesses they focus on and what the message is to any "Economic Development" office either a pointed it elected. Most are a pointed by the Mayors.
You'll see the collusion right away if you know the industry of said focus in your area.
