Nobody knows about the currency war. Read Jim Rickard's book "Currency Wars." We lost that because the US Dollar used to be backed by oil, known as the "PetroDollar" since the 70's when Nixon killed the gold standard (coincidentally around the time Kissinger negotiated a deal to open up China as our supplier of goods). Before, nobody could buy oil except with US Dollars (does OPEC make sense now?) - the only reason the entire world uses US Dollars and we get to print all the money for free. That has come to an end.
The IMF also recently recognized China's economy as surpassing the US because they own all the manufacturing. What do we produce? We produce the world's "debt" essentially. The credit card of the world. But that has now come to an end and Americans have no idea about this currency side of the spectrum.
This is the GLOBAL CURRENCY RESET. Bretton Woods 3 is essentially here, the time when the world re-evaluates how global currencies are exchanged and traded and valued against each other. The IMF's SDR system may replace the US Dollar hegemony.
Recently China has been bypassing the US Dollar and created their own Gold exchange system for oil. China has also been buying all of the Gold. We indeed have been sold out by all of our politicians because they are all bought and paid for and don't give a damn about patriotism.
Now does it make sense why Trump was trying to kick-start manufacturing? He knows the US will have to compete with the world without the US Dollar being the king currency. Manufacturing is our only hope of competing. This other administration doesn't care about making us competitive, they're happy to plunder what is left of America and make themselves rich.

People have been looking at this for a long time and the general consensus is that it would be impossible to occupy the entire CONUS. China could take the the west coast and hold it. A reinforced Canada could go 20-50 miles across the border and maybe hold it. Same with Mexico if it had outside help. From the Rockies to the Appalachian would be impossible to occupy and hold. Without major support from Europe or Russia there is no way anyone is taking the east cost and the supply lines would be too weak and vulnerable from china.
You have to factor in India and Russia to anything China would do. While they would all like control over the U.S. none of them want the other to have control over the U.S. Then you have to factor in all the weaponry owned and controlled by the U.S. Just the planes and ships we have mothballed in the various bone yards could really destabilize a large country including China. The amount of advance weaponry that is outdated but still immensely lethal just lying around with minimal protection is staggering. Because of this alone, if the U.S. government fails and is incapacitated for over a few months then the entire world is coming with us.
The only real play to take over the U.S. would involve a slow disarmament of all bases and citizens. This does seem to be underway. However, this process will take 20-50 years. As this process become more obvious, it doesn't take much for some rogue group on a destroyer, sub, or land based iCBM to glass Tel Aviv or Jerusalem and take out a few key damns and stuff in China.
