You are absolutely correct. I am in favor of what I call the CDDF, or Civilian Drone Defense Force. I know, I know, I'm jumping the gun right? Too soon to start thinking that way? I disagree. That new and fearsome enemy wont creep up on us slowly and remain on the horizon, it will go from non-existent to fucking everywhere in a heartbeat. I have three 3D printers, and I primarily focus on robotics, my favorite concepts being autonomous. I'm trying to not make toys, but to replicate nasa rover and mil/leo style gear. I'm not a bad guy, but I reserve the right to become one when attacked. There's also a concept that civilians could do far more 'for the people'ing if we had a respectable intelligence apparatus of our own. I support spying on our masters. If you havent heard of FilaFlex (I get it from Spain), check that out, I'm currently about neck high on my fleshy biped. Its expensive tho. I wouldnt say 'all I need' is a chip fab, but thats probably the only thing I know I cant make alone. All this is very 'bad days' prep, so the scenario is one where nothing is available and we(the American people) are under sustained assault. My less crazy idea, that I think is great, is a drone to patrol an area (ie: your personally owned property), identify other drones at varying heights, intercept them, disable them and grapple them to the ground where they can be retrieved and dismantled. cyu out there o7
