I still do not see this argument, as it would mean that Americans would have risen up if Hillary had been elected POTUS.

People can still oppose by other means than just full-blown revolution. They also don't know what people will do. It's a powderkeg. People may have revolted against her. It's unpredictable. They don't know when the power keg will go off. Trump was definitely intended to appease patriots and nationalists at a critical time in their plan.
