yeah. vitamin, mineral, amino acid, etc. supplements are necessary with veganism. for example: vitamin d deficiency can cause permanent nerve damage. mushrooms are the only source of it in the plant & mineral kingdoms. i take vegan vitamin d3 tablets, magnesium capsules, vegan omega 3 capsules, and other supplements. and i eat iodized salt, because i don't each much kelp / nori. the iodine in iodized salt can be from shellfish. so i checked with morton salt. they said their iodized table salt is vegan.

Wow. You mind sharing your supplement stack. Interesting to see how you are counteracting the negative effects. Thank you.

a few years ago, a blood test showed i was low on vitamin d.
ask a dietitian. i'm not educated in nutrition. but i would say these are necessary for vegans. i listed what i take. vitamin d - deva vegan vitamin d3 magnesium - now foods magnesium veg. capsules omega 3 - deva vegan omega 3 iodine - morton iodized salt. morton co. says it's vegan b12 - now foods b12 lozenges other b vitamins - anthony's nutritional yeast.

other supplements: nature's way dgl licorice now foods l-glutamine now foods silymarin now foods vitamin c tablets

deva nutrition and now foods are good companies. but not all of their supplements are vegan.

sometimes i take a turmeric & ginger capsule, instead of aspirin, advil, aleve, etc.
