I agree with you, they fucked up, just like the election where they had to stuff ballots overnight. The demoralisation is a secondary aspect after they lie and get away with it. Its something that is so obviously fake but there is no win for us in pointing that out, even if its fake it doesnt prove anything, biden could still be healthy and they could have faked it based on some 'credible threat by trumpist extremists!'
It is demoralizing, nobody should be believing in this, but its only demoralizing when idiots actually believe the narrative and you cant break through to them.
They arent fucking up on purpose, there will be a minority that is actually swayed to swap sides over this, the partisans on the opposing sides already know whats wrong, and the loyalist partisans will just eat the grain from their feed bag.
The demoralization comes from their damage control actually working when it really shouldnt.
