That Temple of Satan thing that exists just to piss off American Christians claims to be a non-theistic religion but still enjoys standard religious protections in the US. Is there really any difference between a non-theistic religion and a secular belief system?

America’s standard for religious protection of organisations is way too low in my opinion anyway. Things like Scientology don’t get recognised as a religion in other countries cos they’re too small and/or bat shit crazy. But in America it seems all you have to do is claim almost individual religious belief and you enjoy tax free status.
