IQ is overrated and individuals with high IQ's whose end products are ideas(intellectuals) have routinely proposed and supported ideas and policies that have fucked up society beyond belief and corrupted our values.

IQ measures the ability to notice and remember patterns, it makes no guarantees about how that ability is used.
Furthermore, just because you're intelligent does not make you immune to bias nor does it make you omniscient. The end result will always be more telling than anything else.
