He never said “I’ll drain the swamp as long as it isn’t too hard.” He never said “I’ll drain the swamp if I can get people on my side.” He never said “I’ll drain the swamp as long as everyone isn’t against me.”
He volunteered to run. He made promises. He didn’t deliver. We’ve all seen the lists, the lists of hundreds of promises he made that never were fulfilled. Sure, that’s just like every other politician, but he wasn’t supposed to be like every other politician, now was he?
