How is having a job (teaching), *not* productive? You can't "teach", unless you know the material, as well as knowing how to teach it. Knowing the material comes from *reading *a lot of material. Reading lots of material is also a very interesting pastime, many of us who are not teachers do a lot of reading because learning is extremely interesting, even if it seems to have no purpose for *your* interests. Personally, I think archery is a waste of time, but that doesn't mean that it actually IS a waste of time. It sure as isn't to those that enjoy practicing it.
